New Challenge

I've been thinking about how much time, money and enjoyment I get from dining out.
I love going out to eat.
I love spending time with friends and family over a great meal (or even a bad meal).
I love spending money....
I love being lazy about not cooking.
I love instant gratification.
I love being in control.
I love eating what I want when I want it.
I love not having to work hard for my food.

I can't even tell you how hard that was to admit.

So, my challenge............. drum roll please!!!

Between Monday - Friday I will challenge myself to only have one meal "out". I know it sounds crazy yet at the same time it's crazy that I'd even have to challenge myself this way!

These are the rules:
Only one meal out between Monday - Friday
Rules are flexible if I'm having a working lunch or have been asked out on a date.

I think it is an incredibly wise thing to do. I know that all the financial gurus say that eating out is what kills many budgets. I do it way too often myself. I don't do sit down restaurants all that often, but Chic Fil A gets a lot of business from me!

The way I'm wired, as soon as I told myself I could only eat out once during the week that would be all that I could think about and it would probably make me eat out more. But, I think it is a great goal on your part!

I think it's totally awesome - I've tried it in the past and love it, it just gets kind of inconvenient if you aren't a good planner... think I might join you for the next few weeks and see how it goes!!

I just get tired of eating out all the time! The restaurants I really like end up not tasting very good because I've eaten there so much...and I spend way too much money! I love planning meals for the week and it works if I can stick with it! I'm going to try and stick with a plan more often. I think this is a fabulous idea!
