My sister and I headed to a "local health food place" yesterday after work as I needed to return something. We decided to stay for dinner. It's a cute little place with a great salad bar, and great soups..etc. During the course of our dinner I notice she's fidgeting back and forth in her chair. She gets up rather quickly and heads off to refill her water. As she's leaving she slightly looks back at the chair and mutters "dang! there's not enough seat on that chair!" and walks off.
Here's my Daddy-o and his granbaby. It was really cute to see how my dad tended to his grandson while my parents visited over the weekend. As much as my dad loves to cut up and have fun it seemed that when he was holding Daevin nothing else matters... not even his DAUGHTERS!!!! 5 I remember the days of long ago;
I meditate on all your works
and consider what your hands have done.
6 I spread out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.

The rest of the chapter is beautiful, but at this time I remember the days of long ago...
Little girl to sister: It has 140 calories in it, that could like... kill you.

Teen girl, after being caught with empty beer cans: No! Trust me, it wasn't me. I don't drink beer, it has way too many calories!

Very old, overweight mother to old less overweight daughter: I need to lose 20 pounds, but you, you need to lose 40 pounds. When you're as skinny as her (points at woman working at register), then I'll buy you carrot cake!

So, yesterday I went into our kitchen to grab my mid afternoon snack (cottage cheese and strawberries) when I noticed that some evil somebody refilled the refrigerated candy bowl! Instantly, a mental "FRICK!" goes off. There was this perfectly-perfect fun size twix just within my reach. Thankfully, I was armed and ready to bypass my beloved twix as I knew I needed to spare my points for that night's delicious dinner out!
I love that swimming is for everyone! And, if you're thinking that you don't swim because you've never learned please come talk to me! I can help anyone learn to swim. AND, if you're thinking that you just "can't" be caught dead in a swim suit.... also come talk to me! Believe you me if you're standing next to me in a swim suit, no body's gonna be paying attention to you.... so, you'll be spared the scrutiny. Skinny professor: John* [a chubby professor] and I started Weight Watchers together at the same time!
*this next one was my favorite!! What a total dork!*
Skinny girl to clerk: Hi, do you have a soy-based, non-dairy substitute for heavy cream?
Girl ordering Coffee Coolatta with skim milk: I hope this tastes as good as it did when I was anorexic. Everything tasted good back then...
Jewish grandmotherly type: Women with anorexia seem to have such strange eating habits.
Anorexic-looking girl: I want a tic tac. I'm hungry. *made me smirk!*
Back in high school I ran with a pretty fun group of people. One of my close friends was Gina. She was a skinny little thing. Well, not so much as short-little, just skinny little. So, one weekend we were hanging out at our friends Tom's house. And, in Tom's house lived, lived Tom's mother! She was infamous for always speaking her mind. She sorta lost her polite-filter long ago, so one always knew to prepare for mild verbal bashing and to never to take what she said to personally.
On that particular weekend Gina happened to come over. She was running around the kitchen and living room acting "special" when in comes Tom's mom, Mary.
Mary: Hey y'all! How is everyone?
Us: Hi, Mrs. Ramos!
Mary: (sees Gina running around and gives her a confused & sympathetic looked) Aye, Gina! You're so skinny! Look at you! Somebody get her a tortilla!!!
We just busted out laughing!!! Good times!

I can already hear my sister protesting at the thought of me eating cottage cheese anywhere within her vicinity. She thinks it's 100% disgusting. I do it anyway! :)
