He's HERE!!!!

Here are a few shots of our little monster! I know it's so unlike me but I'm speechless.
Let the pictures speak for themselves.
Align CenterHis tiny little feet.
He has long narrow toes and feet just like our mom.
The little guy must've been hungry.
Awwww factor!
You're witnessing our meet cute!
I loved him even before I met him.
Tia Marcy & Tia Mita!
I wonder what he'll call us....
The Infante Clan
I loved this shirt!!

And, a video....I love him!

Waiting Room

Contractions are closer and closer. My poor sister-in-law is such a ninja. She's quietly enduring the pain. My brother is silently sitting at her side just holding her hand. I can't help but wonder....when did he become a man?

It feels like it was just yesterday that he was my punk brother nemesis. Y'all wouldn't even be able to understand nor believe how often and how hard he and I fought. I have to half smile just thinking about the chaos growing up in our home. I sometimes miss those days.

I miss his baseball games.
I miss atomic fireballs that took me half a day to finish.
I miss sunflower seeds.
I miss walking to our local swimming pool.
I miss living in my swim suits.
I miss eating bologna and cheese sandwiches with wrinkled wet fingers.
I miss the smell of chlorine in the morning.
I miss the way the sun would wipe us out after a long day in the water.
I miss sweet sun kissed skin.
I miss playing Marco Polo.
I miss hanging out at the bottom of the pool watching people swim above me.
I miss the sound of our home waking up on a Saturday morning before a swim meet.
I miss my mom braiding my hair....even those she'd braid it so tight that I'd end up looking Asian!
I miss the sound of my dad singing down the hallway.
I miss childhood.

It'll be interesting to relive it through this next generation. I hope they (our future children) will have as much fun as we once did and continue to have. My heart is aching to start this next chapter.

Waiting and Waiting....

We're at the hospital waiting for the arrival of our baby nephew! I'm listening to the baby's heart beat and my brother rant about texting.... now he's dancing to the baby's heart beat. It's kinda cool killin' time with my family.  I'll keep you updated.

While we wait I came across these photos. I miss days like these..... summer Jupiter House time.

when will we do this again?

Randomness

5am my cell phone alarm goes off and I'm so sleepy I just kept letting it ring. I finally rolled over and turned on my lamp. It's official....I'm getting up but you better believe that I hoped that Angie B (my optimistic "wogging" partner) would text to say that she was dead or something! :)

You know it's going to be a hot day when one is hot and sticky at 5:30am.

These two FREAKIN' frogs always seem to be the same spot every Tuesday and Thursday!! I don't like them!!! Eww just thinkin' about them gives me the heebee-jeebies! It's their beady eyes, lips, face, legs, skin...it's their everything! Ok. I'm fine. really! next subject!

Angie, also affectionately known as Andrea, is almost as bad as Sir Chadwick with one HUGE exception! She smiles when she's torturing me where Chadwick wouldn't smile but instead got this wicked gleam in his eyes when he was killing me dead! Y

I'm proud to say that we jogged quite a bit this morning. And by "quite a bit" I mean by my standards which was from lamp post to lamp post in intervals. Oh yeah....good times! I was breathing like a mad woman and sweatin' like a pork chop in a smoke house, but in the end I felt great!

I finally hit a good brick training. After our 2 mile wog I did a 4 mile bike ride. I so much prefer riding to wogging. For real!

On another note Chadwick and I are swimming. He asked me to help him become a better swimmer and I can't even tell you how sweet it's been to bust his chops in the water. I'm sad to report that only after a few weeks the man is a becoming an amazing swimmer. He can almost keep pace with me on 50meters, granted he is quite a bit taller than I am and happens to possess long monkey arms! I'm proud of him. Way to go, Mikey! And, by "way to go" I mean get yourself ready...reverse trainer day is going to be a BLAST!!! haha!

Ummmm, Eureka park is not joking about preserving a natural habitat. Last Friday night I came across a snake, a raccoon and a HUGE coyote! Don't you think it's so odd that I don't flip out about snakes but when I encounter a frog I become the ultimate girlie girl? It seems that these last few mornings that I've met with Angie and we've come across those stubborn frogs you'll find me whining "Ahhhh! Angie!! Get it!!!" She'll usually just laugh and stomp them away....that's my cue to squeal on by!

What else is going on?.... Oh yeah! Big news!! Our family is expecting our nephew on Wednesday!! It still hasn't hit me that we're going to have an addition to the Infante family. I hope he has the cutest and most chubby legs! I hope that he has the best smile! I hope he loves the Lord with a burning passion. I hope he's magnetic! And, I hope that he drives my brother bananas!!! ;) Love you, David!

Oh, and it was fun running into some other close friends (Sara & Ren) at Eureka this morning. My heart swells everytime I think about how blessed I am (we are) to have such wonderful friends! God is good. All the time!

I LOVE this song!!!

I had a pretty quiet weekend. It was a sweet time for relaxing, reflecting and diggin' on this song!! I know it's different but his voice coupled with the fiddle just strums my heart strings!! listen!

HAHA!

I was scrolling through some photos this weekend and came across these little gems. They sorta gross me out but I still can't help but laugh! As you'll notice they were taken circa 2008 Christmas time. Just random weekend at home.... this is how I amuse myself!
If this was a before and after would y'all still love me?! LOL Actually, all you haters out there....DON'T ANSWER THAT QUESTION!!!

Parker Poo Poo

This picture caught my eye today. Anytime the blinds are drawn and the sun is shining this is where you'll find my sister's sun devil. He'll lay in the sun until his ears and belly are bright red. When he gets really really hot he'll lay there and just pant. That's our que to remove him from the sun...I'm certain he'd lay there 'til he was crispy piece of bacon.

His Name: Parker formerly known as the artist...Cashew
His Nicknames:
Parker Poo Poo
PP
Little PP
Bacon
Hams
Mr. Anderson
I know I'm forgetting a few.....

I love when.....

God lovingly reminds me of the purpose He LONG AGO set before me. I keep coming back to the same point in the insanity circle. It's all about me. Only when I've surrendered my will and body to the Glory of God does my heart and body follow in line toward health. What a painfully sweet reminder that I'm utterly helpless without Him.

Read this blog post by CR and you'll quickly see what I'm referring to.

Sad Fact

As you know I was working from Panera for most of the day while our Internet was down at the office. Allow me to recap my nutritional disaster........................

8:15am * Hungry and ready to eat me a bagel*
On my way to the counter I noticed a cute baked egg souffle! I asked the cashier-checker chica what she thought of them and she highly recommended the spinach and bacon souffle. So, I said "I think I'll try that. it looks pretty...." She then asks "will that be all?" I hesitant and look to my left where i notice the yummy bagels. I say "I'll also take a cinnamon crunch bagel and a small hazelnut cream cheese. OH, and a coffee." BTW I hardly EVER ....EVER crave coffee today it sounded yummy....
*side note.... The souffle was "eh...." and the bagel was yummy! yes, i ate it all! I even finger licked the hazelnut cream cheese tub. Sick. I know.*

1:45pm I'm sorta hungry but not really....I got a msg that the net was fixed at the office and thought that i'd better grab some lunch now before heading out to the office. Whatever!! should'nt have done it!

I got the pick two. 1/2 Chicken Cobb Salad & 1/2 Broccoli Cheddar Soup ....with more bread.
I wasn't all that hungry but everything tasted so yummy. Gluttony was in full effect! Oh, and i failed to mention just now that I also ordered (which I NEVER do) a .99 cent Toffee Nut cookie!

Cookie was devoured around 3:30.

3:45pm My jeans are uncomfortable. I'm feeling icky....this wild idea runs through my mind. Yeah...I should track my points.

I just tracked my points. I wanna die! And, I want y'all to feel the agony with me... Here goes!

Order of madness goes as follows: Calories, Fat, Fiber = Point Value

Breakfast
Spinach & Bacon Souffle - 570, 37g, 2g = 14 points!!! so not worth it in the end....
Cinnamon Crunch Bagel - 430, 8g, 3g = 9 points!! Was it worth it? hellz ya!
Hazelnut Cream Cream - 200, 19g, 0g = 6 points. I could've easily only had half and been totally satisfied! glutton = Marcy....
Hazelnut Coffee - i didn't even track this sucker.... i had 2 cups. I don't want to know.

Lunch
Chicken Cobb Salad - 490, 35g, 3g (full serving size) = 12 points. I had a 1/2 svg.
Broccoli Cheddar Soup - 290, 16g, 7g (full serving) = 6 points for 12 oz. Not sure if this for the large bowl or the small
French Baguette - 150, 0g, 1g - 3 points = yes, so worth it!

Ready for the damage? A total of 55 points were consumed thus far!!!! I'm allowed 38 points per day. It's amazing how much my brain can wrap around the points value. If I had better eating habits and chose to eat more whole foods and less processed foods I wouldn't have the needs for point tracking, but because my brain fails to function well in understanding foods and because my heart isn't submitting to the authority of Christ in the area of food my body is suffering....

When will the madness end?

Happy Monday!

Got to the office extra early only to find that our router was down.
I'm working from Panera today.....

To all my super duper friends that are off for the summer....
please know that I'm SUPER DUPER jealous!!!!

I found a new event!!!!

So, I've been a bit blah lately! I know! I know!.... BUT!!! I found a new event!

Check it out here!!

I haven't decided which distance I'm going to tackle. The 300 meter swim for the tri took me about 7 minutes and during that 7 minutes I had a minor freak out. However, I can't tell you if it was the temp of the water or the nerves of the event that got me all wrapped around my axel but I seriously had to give myself a talking to and it went something like this....

Marcy #1 "OMG!!!!! I can't do this!!!! WHAT THE HECK????!!!"
Marcy #2 "SHUT UP!! YOU'RE A SWIMMER!!! Get your face back in the water!"
Marcy #1 "OMG I can't breath!!!! I can't breath! I can't do this!!! My armpits and boobs are frozen!!!! My googles are fogged over! I can't see!"
Marcy #2 "Really? Really!?!!? Armpits and boobs?! Get moving! DO THIS!!!! Forget the googles just go!"
Marcy #1 "Ok. Ok....Ok?"
Marcy #2 "Oh, dang...it is cold! just keep going and watch out the 'tard on the kayak!!"
Marcy #1 & 2 *small mental whimper/whisper* "Jesus...am I going to die today?"

I imagined Him slowly shaking his head from side to side, putting his hand over his face and saying "Oh my sweet, special in the head, overly dramatic child....Just go! I'm with you!"

I hope you enjoyed that bit of space in my head.... Soooooo, I'm debating between the 750m which will require some effort and the 1500 meters would be a major mental challenge. I'll let you know what I decide.

Can you tell that I'm excited?!?! Finally!

I'm curious to know...

What is the best super hero power?

I want to fly like Superman. Whee!

Mind reading - What do you really think?

Super strength -Never again will the pickle jar go unopened

Invisibility - Now you see me, now you don’t.

Memorial Day - Super Chica Style

I had such a great weekend! Loaded with lots of laughter and friends.

This is how I spent my Memorial Day!!

Posted by Picasa

Update on working out post Tri....

It's blah! Angie B is starting a group 'Get Marcy to run 8 miles by November' and if y'all join the group I promise I'll hunt you down and hurt each of you!! :) But if you wanna jog with us you're more than welcome to do so! My goal was to jog a 5k by November and she's somehow got it in her semi-sweet head that I'll be able to jog the Turkey Trot (8 miles) in November!!!

Reverse Trainer day is semi here!! Chadwick asked me to help him train for the swimming portion of a tri. I love being able to spend time with him and I do secretly have to admit that I love making the man WORK IT in the water! I think I understand his 'sickness' there's something so NICE about making someone gasp for air!! LOL However, I have a sneaky suspicion that he'll be a mad skilled swimmer once I'm through with him! But between now and then I'll continue killin' him softly! It's so delicious!

In the mean time I'm back on schedule. As of today my workouts have been moved to 6am! With my busy evening schedule and the lack of desire to work out in the heat I've had to make the change. Early mornings and sweet misty dew how I come!

Weight Loss Update:
I FINALLY made it Weight Watchers on Saturday.
The verdict!
Current Weight: 332.4 lbs
I'm down the 4.8 lbs I gained in April.
I December of 2007 I weighed in at 333.6..... blah!
I rounded my first year of weight loss at 314.4
That means that from August of 2008 to now I've gained 18 lbs!!

Since Chadwick and I stopped working out last year I have noticed a considerable softness happening in my muscles. There's something to be said about weight training.....do it! They go hand in hand for sure! A friend and trainer said 'Cardio changes your size while strength training changes your shape' the truth sucks don't it!?!?!

I know this blog has been feast or famine lately. I'll be sure to make more time to post. I miss hearing from y'all!!!

Really, Nicole?!

I hung out with some old college friends on Saturday night. Pictured here is my girl, Nicole. At one time she was pledge director for our sorority, Sigma Lambda Alpha, but now we're SLA free and we're still friends!!! Here's another prime example of God orchestrating friendships. She and I would've NEVER crossed paths had it not been for Him. She's a NIN fanatic! I'm everything BUT!! She's a horror movie with blood and guts I'm a romantic comedy and occasional action thriller. Despite our million differences I heart this girl too!!

Pictured here are Nicole and Myself about to arm wrestle.....I don't even know why she tried!!! HAHA !! As you'll notice she's looking quite pleased and confident with herself.

And, what do we have here? Could it be a struggle? :)

The match never ended.... a winner was never decided.... She's a contender and a CHEATER!!!

Mas Amor!

I love the way God, in his infinite 'Godness', orchestrates all our friendships/relationships/lifeships. We certainly know and serve a God who's in the details! This here is one of my besties! I love this chica in a way down deep kinda way. Sweetness Love!

It's FRIDAY!!!

I've made a conscious decision to work my booty off in the gym this week. It felt so great to get in the gym last night and break a serious sweat. I ran into a friend at the gym on Tuesday and we've decided to keep each other accountable to working out. We're not working out together but doing our own thing in different parts of the gym. Our accountability is to make sure GET TO THE GYM!

Over the course of the last 1 1/2 I've learned that
a) working out (and a few other chores) are like washing dishing...it's a pain in the rear to get started but once you're doing it, it's not all that bad.
b) I enjoy working out alone. I like the silence. I like the mental down time. As much as I loved having Chadwick as a trainer it was even difficult working out with him. Not that he talked too much, because he's a man of few words, but because of the down time in between sets. During our training time he taught me all about circuit training and I guess I got used to the non stop - hit it till you die/max out then move on the next step workout. I miss it.
c) I've also learned the 80/20 rule. When it comes to weight loss eating well is 80% of the battle!

On another note!
I'm still training for a new triathlon! And, even better news... Chadwick want to tackle a tri too! I'm gonna teach him how to become an efficient swimmer and he'll help me become a more efficient runner. Good times!! I can't wait!

Sad Confession...

I went to the gym yesterday after work.... I can't even begin to tell you how inconsistent I've been!! it was a sad, sad sight!

My sister sweetly asked me last night after I owned a delicious shaved ice from Bahama Bucks "Marce, how much weight have you gained?" I nearly dropped my spoon but it wouldn't have mattered...I had already finished every last bite! Truth sucks, but the truth is that I've gained about 20-25lbs. I haven't been to a weigh in since before my triathlon.

Last confession... I used to be able to bust out about 20-30 push ups like no body's business. Yesterday I was struggling after 15!!!!

***Thanks for calling me yesterday, Uyen. I appreciate the effort in keeping this beast accountable!! Love you!

Friday.....Wednesday.... finally a post

I know I've been a bit quiet these last two weeks. I'm not exactly sure why....too lazy to write? feeling uninspired? feeling blah? feeling distracted and disconnected. In a strange way it sorta feels like a "OK, now what?"

In short my journey continues.....

Tri Pictures

I realize this post is about a week and a day short of posting! In many ways I still can't believe that it's finished! You'll find the very short version of the story here as I'm posting in between work projects. That's me #950!
This is my transition area.
Sorta like my locker in between events. Such a complicated deal...

Paulina and I!
I haven't seen her since college!
It was so wild running into her at a cycling training in Richardson.

I'm in this group somewhere...
The water WAS SOOOOOO FREAKIN' COLD! I can't even thinking about it....it was painful, icky, murky and it literally took my breath way!
If you squint you'll see me about to run over the kayak! Seriously, if they seem me coming get the heck out of my way! I couldn't see inches in front of me.
Warm body and freezing ass cold water = foggy goggles!

Rounding the last bit of the 300 meters.
Does it look cold? WELL....IT WAS!

Ok, incredibly ROUGH picture of me.... No matter! I'm headed out of the water to the biking portion. I couldn't hardly move my legs after swimming. My muscles were painfully frozen.
I"m headed out on the 6 mile cycling portion. I had a mild panic attack about not getting up the first hill and I almost quit because of my pride. I did have to jog my bike up the first hill but never had to hop off again! I even made it up the monster hill that I was most worried about! That was so totally Jesus!

Event #2 DOWN!!!! Now on to the 2 M jog/walk! By the time I racked my bike I couldn't hardly feel my legs. Walking up the course for walking portion felt like I was carrying two 50lb children on each leg. I moved slowly but I got there...

Almost there!!!!!

I MADE IT!!!!!! WOOOHOO!!!
This photo almost has me in tears each time I see it!
Thank you Nicole and Margo for documenting this for me!

Post Race photo with my super cool King Tut Tri Medal...
Ok it was more like a KEY CHAIN but heck I wore it anyway!

THERE ME IS!!!
Post Post Race headed back to my car. Check out all the bikes!!!!

I can't thank you enough for all the support that was given to me during this training and triathlon! I'm overwhelmed by the love that has been gifted to me. Ok, I can't start crying again...I love y'all!

I am somewhat evil!!

Pre Race

It's 11pm. Currently packing my bag for tomorrow. I can't believe it's finally here.

I know I've been really quiet this week and it was mostly due to a minor/major freak on Tuesday night. I went, with a friend, to check out the bike course and literally had a panic attack when I realized that I wasn't ready nor prepared for this race. She was sweet to point out that sanctification....sucks!!!

For the course of my life I've always put forth minimum effort and have expected maximum results. The first time I got to see the results of honest hard work was when I was training with Mike (aka Sir Chadwick). Anyhow, long story short.... I tried to quit the triathlon. Thankfully, people like my sister and Sir Chadwick wouldn't let me.

I'll have to share more tomorrow POST TRIATHLON!!!

My wave starts at 7:05am. Water temperature is expected to be in the very low 60's. Please, pray that both in my heart and mind that my focus will be for the glory of God. He's give me the desire to do this thing....and I'm doing it!!!

I love y'all. I can't even tell you how much my heart swells in remembering the support that has been poured into me. You too are all a gift from God.
